11:24 ● Wet days ahead
A couple looks out from their partially damaged home, worried that the demolition crew that mowed down the other houses in their community would be back any moment. A few days earlier, dark rain clouds hovered above their dwellings as heavy machinery plowed through the sides of the main road in Navotas demolishing the wood and concrete houses that stand in the way of progress. The road widening project of the city government was the main reason for demolishing the hundreds of houses that stand on government property. As we go deeper into the rainy season, the residents of Road 10 in Navotas would be staring at the dark night sky where they will be sleeping.
