- Akira Liwanag is a student photographer, a filmmaker, and a multimedia artist based in The Philippines. He has been selected as a delegate in the 2008 ASEAN Youth Camp held at Yogyakarta, Indonesia representing the Philippines in the photojournalism field. At his young age, his portfolio already includes street rallies, politicians, celebrities, and gritty images of everyday people. He holds a brown belt in Taekwondo too.

You are only 15 and yet taking these beautiful pictures and already having wide exposures through your dad.
You know, I used to be a teacher and adviser of school paper. We also joined press conferences and won awards too. I also had one student before who won in photo journalism but only up to the regional level. I bet you are a national winner through and through.
